2023 – The Variety and Diversities of Mantles in the Prophetic

The prophetic changes everything! God can change you, and just like that you are Changed! Like Saul, who was “turned into another man.” God has a great plan to… release His wisdom in us.

EPHESIANS 3. 10-11 “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Let’s look at this in the Amplified: “[The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere.”

THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY IS TO SHOW THE FATHER’S HEART

TO DO THIS WE HAVE VARIETY OF GIFTS – 1 Corinthians 12.4

Many believe that prophets are to herald revival ONLY.

They indeed need to declare the answer is in a more extensive outpouring, resulting in mass salvations and city-wide or national transformation. I believe that revival prophets are just the tip of the iceberg! God has placed several categories of prophets in the Body to speak to the Bride.

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit all” 1 Cor 12.

THE WORD DIVERSITITES = DIAIRESIS = UNIQUE AND DIFFERING! THERE ARE MANY WAYS THAT GOD REVEALS HIS VOICE!

The good news is you get to be you.

Here is my list of prophetic mantles. I’m not suggesting this is as a definitive list, but it is my observation of 40 years of Charismatic prophetic culture in the church.

Many prophets have a dual anointing of a couple of prophetic mantles.

These mantles are grown in different decades of the prophets’ life as they intersect with different streams and different ministries.

*revival prophets – prepare and call the church to mobilise for revival. They feel called to the streets and to ring the bells to wake up

*national prophets – speak into the rise, fall of nations and to the building up of righteous standards over nations

*marketplace prophets – prepare, envision, and equip the church to be in the business world

*seer prophets who see in the realm of the 3rd heaven but also can see the demonic too and therefore have discernment and wisdom around the inroads over cities, regions, and hearts.

*oracle prophets – release words of edification, exhortation, and comfort to individuals and the church at large (both written and spoken)

*artistic prophets – draw the church to partner in creativity with and for God in a vast variety of means. Isy.

*equipping prophets – teachers of the new wineskin and 5-fold. Paul.

*Bridal prophets – have a unique message to call us to the heart of the Bridegroom for first love fire to grow and flourish. John the beloved. David (Son of Jesse).

*Watchman Intercession prophets- (e.g., Jeremiah and Ezekiel) were priests with the duties described above.

* heart prophets – feel the emotions of God and speak HIS HEART FOR A SEASON. awaken the heart to church to learn how God speaks His heart to us. Some heart prophets have an anointing to heal the heart from brokenness, trauma, and open spiritual inroads.

*justice prophets – call God’s people to remember the poor, justice in the land and to feel the compassion of God for justice. “Concern for the poor, the widow, the orphan, and the stranger in the land was replaced by oppression.”

The great theologian Abraham Joshua Hershel said: “Reading the words of the prophets is a strain on the emotions, wrenching one’s conscience from the state of suspended animation.”

Hershel was a philosopher and civil rights activist known for his writings on ethics and mysticism. Born into a family of Hasidic rabbis in Warsaw, Poland, he was called to the spiritual life at a young age. In 1939, weeks before the Nazi invasion, Herschel fled to London and then New York City. His mother and sisters died in the Holocaust, a tragedy that greatly shaped Heschel’s theology. Most significantly, his conviction was that people can live in awe and thanks and act alongside God to create a better world.

This belief led Heschel to march alongside Dr Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, of which he famously said, “I felt my legs were praying.” Heschel’s words continue to spur new generations to live in radical amazement.

I suggest WE ARE IN A SEASON OF LETTING GO OF THINGS NOT OUR OWN – AND WE ARE CALLED TO PICK UP ONLY THE MANTLES THAT ARE YOURS FOR THIS SEASON!

SECONDLY, SOME OF US HAVE DROPPED OUR MANTLES, AND GOD SAYS GO BACK AND PICK THEM UP!

It’s time to get your mantle – you’ve been invested in it. STAND up and be who you need to be in this hour! IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.
